Our Story
From a very young age, our founder, Tami Losoncy, was drawn to the beauty and pure joy of music. In 2000, she funneled her passion into her work, founding a music studio (then known as ABC Music for Kidz) with three brand new early childhood music and movement classes she called Bounce’n Beethovens. What started as a small program quickly blossomed into something much more widespread, thanks to the addition of a mobile music program, allowing her to bring Bounce’n Beethovens classes to preschools and in-home daycares across the community.
By 2004, Tami opened the Midtown School of Performing Arts in Tulsa, Oklahoma, allowing even more families to experience the joy of Bounce’n Beethovens firsthand. Her curriculum’s impact reached even farther when it was introduced on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, where little ones can enjoy it as Maritime Music!
In 2024, MSPA officially rebranded as Bounce’n Beethovens, LLC, marking an exciting new chapter in Tami’s journey. With plans to expand into more local communities and launch a Bounce’n Beethovens online membership and library, Tami’s mission remains the same—to make high-quality, inspiring early childhood music education accessible to families everywhere.
What We Do
At Bounce’n Beethovens, we introduce little ones to a vibrant and exciting new world of music, exploring jazz, rock, classical, folk, showtunes, lullabies, and more! Our classes are high-energy, full of fun, and packed with warmth and encouragement, creating an engaging environment where infants, toddlers, and children can sing, dance, and play their way to key developmental goals while obtaining a lifelong love for music.
Utilizing Hands-On Learning
Using tools such as egg shakers, scarves, and play-along percussion instruments, we bring each song to life through movement and interactive activities that spark creativity and joy for every little music maker. Each child participates at their own developmental level, allowing them to explore music in a way that feels natural and exciting.
Building Musical Skills Through Play
Our original albums, curated playlists, and expertly designed curriculum help children strengthen their listening, auditory discrimination, and pattern recognition skills, while developing an ear for musical concepts such as major and minor scales and duple and triple meters—all in a way that feels effortless and fun!
Cognitive and Academic Benefit
Childhood engagement with music education has been linked to improvements in several cognitive abilities, including enhanced memory, strengthened attention span, and superior problem-solving skills. These benefits extend far beyond music, positively impacting areas such as language development and mathematical reasoning. Research also indicates that early exposure to music can lead to increased IQ and academic achievement in later years.
Promoting Social and Emotional Development
Participating in group classes such as Bounce’n Beethovens provides little music makers with endless opportunities to develop key social skills, such as taking turns, collaborating with peers, and expressing emotions in a healthy, constructive way. Building on these learned skills, the shared experience of making music promotes a sense of community and belonging, contributing to each child’s emotional well-being.
Making a Lifelong Impact
Early childhood music education sets the stage for a lifelong love of music. It not only cultivates an appreciation for the arts but also equips children with skills that are transferable to various aspects of life, such as emotional regulation, cooperation, and creative thinking.
